17 Years in the making |
My name is Austin Fitzpatrick, I am a senior at Gladwin High School, destined to graduate with the class of 2017. I was born in the great year of 1999, back in my home state of Michigan. There my mother gave birth to a cute little boy. Little did she know, I was born at the perfect place and time to be swept up in the technological revolution that Information Sciences brought to my generation. Living in Michigan allowed me to not be smothered with technology, giving me the ability to not take it for granted as something that is ‘just part of my life’. As the technological boom began, I got excited in all the little aspects that made things work. I was determined to discover just what happened when I typed in a domain name to my browser. Slowly I generated a fascination and love for everything with modern tech, and now I plan to work with it for the rest of my life.

My whole life revolves around my technological goals and interests. In fact, my future career goal is to get a job in the Information Technology field involving system administration. I enjoy playing with technology and understanding complex protocols used every day by computer systems worldwide. I also have a large interest in cryptography, I love to think about ciphers and have that secure feeling after completely transforming data into some unreadable garble that no one else can understand but me. I also am interested in web application development and am currently able to write a web application from scratch and implement applications and data management systems like MySQL.

Social Interest
|
A large part of who I define myself as, is due in part of the social experiences I received from my friends and family. While I could find time to keep myself busy when no one is available, I personally prefer for a majority of my time to be spent gaining new experiences with my friends. The reason I have found courage to continue moving forward in my lowest moment, was because my friends and family have always continued to support me. In my mind, there is little purpose to life without the ability to contribute to someone else’s life.
